The Beast from the East to hit Ireland today..

Ireland is today bracing itself for the most severe blizzard to hit this country in many years, maybe the biggest one ever. Blizzards, and really heavy snow storms, are rare events in Ireland, and they are something which we are not really equipped to deal with.
In the picture above, you can see the darkening sky as the storm approaches.
Taffy, my pony, not too sure what is happening, but he is aware that he cannot get at his grass as usual. He is ok though, as i have stocked up his shed with plenty of hay.
He seems to like having a roll in the dry snow.
Happy now with his lunch of nice fresh hay.
I am staying off the roads for the next few days, until this storm passes, and i do not envy anybody who has to drive anywhere. Everybody is being urged to stay indoors, as this storm is expected to be way beyond anything we are used to.
Well it does give me more time to Blog and to catch up with other things.
