Touring the Dingle Peninsula with private car and driver

In this day and age, with all the pressures of life that people have to deal with, i find that this prayer makes a lot of sense.I took this picture of it today in Killarney Cathedral while we were visiting there. This is a beautiful church and its construction started before the famine. The work ceased when the famine struck in 1845 .By then the foundations had been laid. Many starving people came here and camped on the site, as it was sacred ground, and died here and were buried in mass graves. There is a memorial to them on the grounds.

A view inside the Cathedral of the main aisle.
Deb and Dave standing by the memorial to the famine dead buried here in the Cathedral grounds.
This needs a little explaining. I had a pair of slip-on shoes on today, and also put on a new pair of socks this morning. Unfortunately, the socks were made from a very slippery material and my shoes kept slipping off. Here i was shaking the sand off my socks as i had to take the shoes off entirely to get up a small incline to this spot as they kept slipping off on the hill. Tomorrow i go barefoot.
Deb and Dave on the magnificent beach at Inch on the Dingle peninsula today. Please note once again the glorious sunshine. If this keeps up we will have to import water.More problems for the EU.
My favourite Beehive huts at Maura Houlihans near Slea Head. Meeting Maura was one of the highlights of the tour so far for Deb.
Inside Maura's 500yr old house today. The house is now a two storey house but was originally a cottage.Maura is a great friend of Tom Cruise as she starred in the movie "Far and Away" with him. She actually played the part of Tom's mother.
Dave and Deb pictured outside the house.
Seated on a low wall near Slea Head with the Blasket Islands in the background.
Dave and Deb making a new friend with this Irish speaking dog near Slea Head.
Yes that is me again showing off our magnificent Pre-Historic Irish rhubarb. If you are a Texan rhubarb grower, eat your heart out.
What a lovely picture. Taken at the summit of the Conor Pass on the Dingle peninsula.
If you are planning on driving this route to the Conor, this is a picture of what lies ahead for you. No large vehicles are allowed on this road but there are places where two cars cannot pass.
A wild sheep on duty on the mountainside today.
A beautiful waterfall near the top of the mountains at the Conor pass.

What a lovely day we had today as we toured this magical peninsula in glorious sunshine. Tomorrow it is to be the Gap of Dunloe, and once again the forecast is for more wonderful sunshine.Believe you me......the proof of the pudding is in the eating......and my photos tomorrow will prove that.

See you soon.
